Syllabus for Microsoft Office FrontPage Website Builder
Microsoft FrontPage is a website building program. FrontPage is on of the more affordable programs to use to build a successful website. Having the ability to establish a professional website can be very beneficial to your careers, school, and home life. The application students will learn this semester will be to prepare the students to use these skills. Microsoft FrontPage can be used to build your choice of colors and different types of links. Photos, video, and music can be added to the website as well. These applications will give students the knowledge to succeed in creating a website and have the Input information from forms sent to various places such as to an email, database or posting directly to the site. This will also prepare the student to work with a database to have information from the site sent to the database.
Students will gain the appropriate skills and knowledge to use these applications for designing a professional web site and incorporate many uses of data in the website. The student will be taught to setup email accounts from a server with their user name attached to their domain name. The students will be assessed using their out put of the curriculum through assignments, participation, daily work, homework, quizzes, and exams.
Students will apply their skills using computer technology and the MS Office FrontPage application to continue to add to their knowledge and skills in many areas such as business, home, personal use, and college.
This application will allow the students to get certified for FrontPage and have a set of skills that will help in maintaining a successful career in today’s technology era and competition for job positions. The students will demonstrate their skills by participating in class and in groups, design, planning, hands-on use, quizzes, projects, homework, and tests to gain a better understanding of the curriculum being taught. This class will also prepare students to have the ability to start working with more sophisticated software for website management such as Dreamweaver.
