Welcome!

My Mission

Science is a subject that is found all round us and is something that we use everyday.  My mission as a teacher is to show students just how important science is and how it is constantly changing in order to make our lives easier everyday.

CLASS RULES
  •  Be courteous and respectful of yourself and others.
  • Come to class prepared and on time.

  • No food or drinks allowed in my class.

  • NEVER be afraid to ask a question.

  • Follow all school rules.

  • Remain on task

  • Follow directions

CLASS ATTENDANCE

Class attendance is mandatory everyday.  If you are absent and it is excused then you will have two days to turn in all missed assignments.  Example:  If you are absent Monday and come back to school on Tuesday then you will have until the end of the school day Thursday to turn in all make up work. Unexcused absences will have one day to turn in work with an automatic 5 pts. taken off. Quizzes are the only assignment that cannot be made up.

Tardies

Tardiness is not acceptable.  Three tardies will equal 30 minutes of tutoring with me after school, and a phone call to your parents.

Cheating And Plagiarism

Both Cheating and Plagiarism are not tolerated at ACT. If a student is found at any time to be doing one or the other it will result in an automatic referral.

Assignments

All homework assignments and major projects are counted as on time until 4p.m. of the assigned due date.  After 4 p.m., 5 pts. will be taken off for failure to follow directions correctly.

Behavior

The general rule is “If you want to be treated like an adult, then act like one”.  The moment you start to act like a child then I will treat you as such.  I will not allow you to stay and disrupt the rest of the class.  You are the master of your own destiny, so choose wisely.
