A Word From The Principal
Dear Parents & Students,
I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you the beginning of the 2011-2012 school year at A.C.T.C.H.S. We have been planning for the return of our students since early summer. We have many new and exciting opportunities awaiting our students this year. I would like to especially welcome the new students who transferred as a group from El Sendero Charter this year. This school year we have two school-wide themes to explore: (1)the expansion of our service learning projects and (2) our involvement in group projects to bring about an awareness of what we can do to become better stewards of the planet Earth. The latter is a new initiative, which will involve learning about global warming, the “green house” effect, water conservation and using solar and wind power. Citizenship of any kind must start with the recognition that we are all citizens of this planet. Finally, this year we are going to make an effort to increase our parental involvement through our P.T.O. Our class sponsors are working to put together some meaningful activities for each class. Our first PTO meeting and Back to School Night will be held on Thursday, Sept. 1, starting at 6:30pm. I hope to see all of our parents and family that night. Please feel free to call me at anytime. I am committed to making A.C.T.C.H.S. the premier high school in this state.

Student Parking Special Notice
Starting Monday, September 19, all students must have purchased a parking permit in order to continue having their vehicles on campus. Please see Mr. Crawford, our courtesy officer for more information. Students who do not have valid parking permits will not be allowed to park in the schools parking lot. Proof of insurance and a valid driver’s license is required.
